    This is where hardcore hairdressers are made. Our Assistant Program is for those who are committed to their craft, ready to work hard, and willing to dedicate themselves to becoming the best. You’ll master the fundamentals of cutting, coloring, and styling while learning the House of POp way—think killer consultations, flawless shampoo experiences, perfect blow-dries, and seamless product recommendations that never feel pushy.

    You’ll train weekly with our team and dive into advanced workshops with top educators through the year, all while working alongside some of Spokane’s most talented stylists. It’s hands-on, fast-paced, and designed to set you up for a high-end, trendsetting career. If you’re ready to do the work, we’ll help you reach the top.

  • Future pop stars

    The POp Assistant Program is designed to take students and newly licensed cosmetologists beyond the basics, building the skills, confidence, and foundation needed for a thriving, lifelong career in the industry. We’re here to guide you as you refine your craft, push creative boundaries, and grow into the stylist you’ve always aspired to be.

    Over 12 months, you’ll work toward hitting key milestones and achieving your goals. Once you’ve completed the program and demonstrated mastery, you’ll have the opportunity to advance onto the floor as a commissioned stylist, ready to take paying clients and carve your path to success.

  • Pop soiree

    The POp Soirée is your time to shine—a celebration of your growth, creativity, and the skills you’ve mastered during your Assistant Program at House of POp. Invite friends, family, future clients, cosmetology school staff and students, and anyone who’s cheered you on. It’s your chance to celebrate with those who’ve supported you and make your mark as a stylist.You’ll choose one of two ways to showcase your talents and mark this milestone:

    Live Model Presentation Soirée
    Bring your skills to life with a live model presentation, where you’ll show off the techniques and artistry you’ve honed during training.

    Editorial Photoshoot & Art Gallery Soirée
    Take a creative turn with an editorial photoshoot where your work will be featured in an art gallery-style presentation.

    Whichever path you choose, the POp Soirée is all about celebrating your talent, dedication, and advancement to the floor as a stylist. This is your moment—make it unforgettable.
